This one was almost too easy, when compared to yesterdays.

"To be or not to be - that is the question; whether 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer the slings and arrows of outrageous fortune, or to take arms against a sea of troubles and by opposing end them." - William Shakespeare (Hamlet Act 3, Scene 1)

Some of you may have saw this one coming, but then again, this is me we're talking about, so some of you may not. This has got to be one of the most well known and slightly over used Shakespeare quotes out there. So why did I pick this one? I love Shakespeare to bits and am slightly obsessed with his works, surely I could have picked another quote more obscure than this one. And I could have but I didn't want to.

Most people don't get past the 'to be or not to be' part. They don't focus on the next few lines and that's what annoys me a bit. This fragment of a bigger soliloquy is all about not letting the bad things that happen in your life drag you down. Are we going to let those 'slings and arrows' knock us on our asses or are we going to get up, take charge, and fight back against them. It's about choices and crossroads and whether or not you're going to cowardly slink away from all the horrible events in your life. Granted, Hamlet's situation was a lot different than anything that might be thrown at us nowadays, but the quote is still motivational.

...just don't go out and kill your uncles. Murder is a crime if you get caught. =P
